Almost four years after COVID-19 hit the world, the global office worker's hybrid performance has typically settled on 3-4 days in their physical offices and 1-2 remote working days weekly.

In the efforts to get hybrid working employees back in the office, companies are busy adapting to the new requirements for the future office and creating an optimal framework for social and creative presence, the latest technologies, innovation, professional development, etc.

Office landlords worldwide have invested significant resources in updating, perhaps rebuilding, the office environments to shine sharpest, dynamic, attractive and welcoming for hybrid workers to use.

"As companies rethink their offices to add value compared to what their employees can achieve by remote working, the adaptable serviced office gains unprecedented popularity," the annual MatchOffice Client Survey 2023 outlines.

mpressive growth

"As businesses reshape their perception of the office, envisioning it as a place that provides added value compared to what individuals can attain at home, there is a growing, unprecedented popularity of serviced offices with adaptable designs.

The serviced offices - coworking environments and office spaces - with their many flexible solutions and constantly new furnishings and layouts continue to grow impressively in popularity," MatchOffice CEO Jakob Dalhoff says.

rebuilding, the office environments to shine the sharpest, most dynamic and most
welcoming for their hybrid workers.

"In our new client survey, we see how the percentage of the increasing number of tenants and users who prioritize working in serviced office settings has now grown from 72% in the previous year to 79% in 2023.

At the same time as the hybrid work models are becoming more established and recognized, more and more office workers discover the networking opportunities and benefits that flexible, creative and social workspaces can provide," Jakob Dalhoff adds.

Basic well-being

MatchOffice Client Survey 2023, based on current responses during November from +1,000 office managers in 23 countries, has now been published for the ninth consecutive year.

The study confirms several similar surveys on how office users show growing expectations and demands of well-being in the workplace - fundamental well-being in every respect.

The new MatchOffice survey points to increasing connection in serviced offices to various
fitness facilities, and easy access to networking is also a growing priority.

Thus, the new study shows increasing adherence in serviced office environments to various fitness facilities, as easy access to networking options is also a growing priority.

"Well-being initiatives such as flexible working arrangements, wellness offers and initiatives that strengthen employees' mental health lead to less absenteeism and will definitely increase the employees' daily engagement and productivity," the MatchOffice director comments.

Competitive

The new MatchOffice Client Survey 2023 also accentuates the significantly increasing search and current traffic back towards the physical business offices and work environments.

"We see a tendency towards people returning to the office either full-time or as part of the hybrid model. Flexibility now encompasses the capacity to determine private work hours extending beyond mere remote work," Jakob Dalhoff says.

"In times of significant changes and transformation, serviced offices demonstrate
their strongest competitiveness by developing ever-new forms and advantages,"

"In times of significant changes and transformation, serviced offices demonstrate their strong competitiveness by developing ever-new forms and advantages.

Our survey cements that employees are now returning to their offices in large numbers, supporting expectations that office workers will increasingly embrace flexible office layouts over the coming years."  ●
