The Tilburg Central Station business centre is in a classically elegant building that fronts onto one of Tilburg's main highways and enjoys the city's foremost business address. It is right at the centre of town and is adjacent to all the major amenities. Several of the Netherlands' foremost health insurance businesses have their bases here, alongside a number of large transport and logistics firms. This was traditionally a wool-producing area, but it has diversified to become home to an assortment of manufacturers producing consumer electronics, automotive products, clothing, plastics and food and drink. Tilburg has a large university and other higher education institutions with a strong emphasis on social sciences and applied sciences, and it has a strong commitment to multiculturalism, being a pilot city of the Intercultural Cities programme, which is overseen by the Council of Europe and the EU.
The business center is in the most prestigious building in Tilburg and is located in the center of the city, next to the train and bus station. Shops, restaurants and hotels are all very close and Eindhoven airport with several flights a day is within a 25 minute drive.
