There are lots of chains of shopping malls across Denmark, and some of them are located on the renowned island of Funen. Initially, the island is famous for its medieval castles, manors, magnificent nature and folk, ambitious restaurant scene, beautiful beaches and beautiful hiking paths. Yet, if you feel the urge to shop - the options are limitless. In the shops all around Funen(Fyn, as Danes got used to naming it), you will find plenty of goods - from clothes and shoes to antiques and handicrafts. There are also stores selling fleas and recycled goods, as well as those that invite guests to taste something of the local producers. The island boasts a long-standing shopping tradition - there are lots of old market towns all around the territory of Fyn - Svendborg, Faaborg, Kerteminde, Bogense, etc. These areas combine history and charm, and some of them even boast a maritime atmosphere. Up to now, a range of Fyn’s shops and boutiques lie along the cobblestone streets of the market towns.
