The area

Quintus Bastion is part of Copenhagen's fortifications and dates back to the 17th century. Together with Nyholm, Quintus Bastion is the northernmost part of Holmen's fortifications. Surrounded by water and houseboats, Quintus Bastion offers a cozy maritime Holmen atmosphere in a class of its own.

Quintus Bastion is listed and covered by the Museum Act, which means that only existing buildings can be used for business and housing. To the south of the Bastion is the protected rampart area, which is also worthy of preservation, and to the north is Refshaleøen.

Quintus Bastion can be accessed by car via Christianshavn or Kløvermarken. Christianshavn and Holmen are solidly connected via bicycle/footbridges, so Kongens Nytorv can be reached in just 10 minutes by bicycle.
