Brasilia, the federal capital of Brazil, is a planned city developed by the architect Lucio Costa. It appeared on the country's map in 1960 and soon afterward, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In fact, the city is renowned for its non-ordinary urban planning and eco-friendly policies. It is one of the top places chosen by people to reside and run businesses. A wealthy location, Brasilia has the highest per capita GDP rate in comparison to the other major areas of Latin America. Brasilia has the "business center" status because of its excellent infrastructure, superb connectivity, pro-business climate, etc. Numerous governmental and educational institutions, ministries, federal agencies, banks, credit unions, and, of course, offices of renowned firms are spread within the territory of the city. A vast array of companies employ from 1000 to 5000 workers. Yet, there are those that offer jobs to over 10000 employees.
