Holmen is undergoing transformation. The area
Arsenalet is located at the beginning of Holmen, more precisely on Arsenaløen. The property

Like all other buildings on Holmen, the Workshop Hall has a military history. It was built in 1961 by the Danish Armed Forces Building Service in solid materials and has been used over the years for a wide range of Armed Forces activities, including both gun workshops and offices. In the late 1990s, Byggeselskab Mogens de Linde purchased the property from the State.
Arsenalet today consists of several interconnected buildings, all of which are undergoing extensive renovation in recent years. According to the local plan, there is, among other things, the possibility of establishing shops and other public-oriented activities. Netto will be a neighbor and the Municipality of Copenhagen will open a Senior House at Arsenalet in 2026.
In the ongoing renovation, the Workshop Hall will be expanded and two floors with 48 apartments will be added on top of the existing building.
The basement and ground floor will have a rustic concrete floor, while solid wood floors will be laid on the first floor. We will preserve the raw, industrial style of the property, such as visible concrete columns, the overhead crane on the ground floor, visible in situ cast concrete, etc.
