Hämeentie 19 is a functionalist gem located in Sörnäinen, originally completed in 1933 as the headquarters of the Cooperative Wholesale Society (OTK). Designed by architect Väinö Vähäkallio, the partially protected building exudes the functionalism of the 1930s and has been renovated to meet modern needs while respecting the original architecture and history. A unique feature of the building is the still operational paternoster elevator that continuously moves between floors 1-6. The complex also includes Käenkuja 1-3, a recently completely renovated industrial-style office building located near the bustling Hämeentie but in its own tranquility.
