The commercial property market in the region partly reflects the situation in the capital. The vacancy rates in Paris continue to be low, while the city is unable to supply much more space. As a result, prime rent has already reached EUR 850 per square meter per year. On the contrary, Parisian suburbs are able to accommodate large companies as well as provide spacious venues and affordable prices. The situation in the region depicts a similar picture with take-ups dropping in the central part and growing in the Outer Suburb. Overall, the take-up of the offices in Île-de-France has reached 2.5 million sqm. Companies are attracted not only by the reputation of the district, but it’s impeccable infrastructure (transportation system, high quality of life, business infrastructure, networking opportunities, etc.). Offices in Île-de-France are home to about 35% of the executive office in the country. The market also reflects global office space trends. A quarter of it is being occupied by coworking spaces with a shared economy. More and more companies prefer to share accommodation in order to get a better working environment at an affordable price.
