Hyderabad’s role in the development of the Indian economic base is an unprecedented one. The recent estimates of the economy of the metropolitan area of Hyderabad have reached the point of $74 billion, making the region one of the most prosperous in India. According to the latest data, the major employers in the city are the administrative and government sectors and the service industry. About 90% of the local citizens are employed in these spheres.
