Becoming the Brazilian capital in 1960, Brasilia was completely built in less than three years as a planned city, predominantly designed by the architect - Lucio Costa. Because of its unique city plan and architecture, as well as its unprecedented role in the development of the Brazilian interior, the city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1987. Construction and services play significant roles in the local economy. And, despite the fact that the city’s status is rather governmental than industrial, branches like printing, publishing, and computer software begin to employ more and more people. The development of ICT leads the way towards the establishment of coworking spaces in Brasilia. At present, there are at least ten venues that promote flexible working styles in relaxed environments. The city itself has been created in the form of a “bird” or a “plane.” So there are defined areas for commercial, business, and residential activities.
