Hal South is an industrial facility of a special class, built for handling large structures, heavy production, and complex project activities. The hall was established in 1991 as a central part of the former Lindø Shipyard's production apparatus and with its approximately 38 meters in height, it remains one of the most prominent industrial buildings in Denmark.
The facility is developed for the production and assembly of very large components and offers a combination of volume, robustness, and flexibility rarely found in the Danish market. The large contiguous areas provide optimal opportunities for establishing production lines, assembly activities, project logistics, storage, test facilities, or other space-demanding industrial processes.
A unique strength of Hal South is its direct connection to the iconic Lindø port crane. The crane has a lifting capacity of up to 1,200 tons, a lifting height of up to 79 meters under the hook, and serves an area of approximately 150,000 m² at Terminal South. This creates extraordinary opportunities for handling large and heavy items that only a few facilities in Northern Europe can match.
Over the years, the hall has been the setting for the production and assembly of some of the world's largest offshore and energy components, most recently within the offshore wind industry, where CS Wind has used the facilities for the production of foundations for offshore wind turbines.
For companies in the energy, offshore, advanced manufacturing, steel and metal industry, defense industry, or project logistics, Hal South offers a rare opportunity to combine production, assembly, storage, and handling in one integrated solution.
