British experts: Coworking will take over the entire office rental market

According to a recent survey conducted among 250 British office landlords, office providers in the UK will significantly increase the amount of flexible office square meters in their rental properties in the coming years.
On average, 36% of the providers' office areas are designed as coworking or flex spaces, currently - a share that they expect on average to rise to 54% in 2030.
10% or 25 of the responding office landlords even predict that their portfolios in 2030 will consist mainly only of flexible office premises.
More than half (52%) of the landlords believe that their office buildings face conversions and redesigns if they are to meet the companies' new future requirements and needs of their tenants.
The hybrid revolution
The providers' responses in the current British survey correspond with moods, sensations and movements around the global office rental markets these years.
The demand for flexible workplaces has increased dramatically after the pandemic - not only among freelancers, startups and remote workers but also larger companies today want to accommodate their teams in more flexible, creative and dynamic environments.

In India, a current market report announces that over 80% of Indian office providers plan to expand their workspaces and areas with flex spaces over the next three to five years.
"In the past, flex spaces were predominantly occupied by start-ups, but over the next few years more than two-thirds of office expansions will target flex spaces, not least among companies in the technology, engineering, manufacturing and healthcare sectors," the Colliers report ´Reshaping the New-Age India Office Market´ predicts.
