The Navigatortal was designed by architect Harald Neovius and was completed in 1905 for Lars Krogius Oy. Shortly after completion, the building was inhabited for about 50 years by the Finnish Steamship Company, which gave the building its name. From 2017 to 2020, a comprehensive renovation of office and restaurant spaces was carried out in the building.
